Marie Donnelly, who leads the renewables division within Commissioner Günther Oettinger’s energy directorate, says that while the EC has received action plans from every country, it has only given its imprimatur to one.
“We have launched five infringement procedures on the basis of the quality of the plans we’ve received,” Donnelly says, refusing to name the governments in question. “For the remaining 21 [countries], we’ve sent a letter asking for clarifications on some of the elements of the plans.”
