Düsseldorf-based E.ON says it will put up 70 turbines across three predefined areas in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik, Västernorrland County. Most of the land is already owned by Holmen, though private landowners will also be brought into the project.
Last July E.ON committed itself to investing SKr500m ($77.8m) in Swedish wind farms over the next seven years after Stockholm passed a measure opening up the country to a new generation of nuclear plants.
