The regulations are seen as a boon for large Chinese players such as GCL-Poly and LDK Solar, as well as foreign producers selling into the Chinese market like South Korea’s OCI, because they will effectively yank the carpet out from underneath the constellation of bit players and start-ups that have sprouted up across the industry in recent years in response to China’s solar manufacturing boom.
