SCE will buy the output of Solar Millennium’s 484MW solar trough power plant planned for federal land in Riverside County, California.
The project is one of seven concentrating solar power projects in California selected for the Bureau of Land Management’s “fast-track” process, which aims to reach a decision on permitting in time for them to begin construction by the end of the year, thereby qualifying for a economic stimulus funding to cover up to 30% of their costs.
