California expands feed-in tariff to 3MW, raises cap

Already a leading solar state, California is expanding a European-style incentive program to cover renewable generating sources of 3 megawatts (MW) capacity, up from the current limit of 1.5MW, and instructing regulators to recognise environmental benefits in setting feed-in tariff (FIT) rates.
