The developer of the landmark 392MW Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System project has already attracted $530m in equity investments from venture capitalists, major corporations and strategic energy-sector players.
The project - part of which is at a temporary halt while its impact on a rare tortoise is studied - will use the company’s power tower solar thermal technology and be the largest of its kind.
