The Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC) recommends a FIT of between A$0.08 ($0.08) and A$0.10 per kilowatt hour (KWh) – compared to the transitional feed-in tariff of A$0.25 cents that owners of systems below 100KW get now – before moving to a competitively determined scheme by the end of 2015.
The cut should be made for any new solar PV systems installed either by 31 December 2013, or once 75MW has been installed state-wide, whichever occurs first.
