Atlantic, which has a fleet of natural gas, coal and hydroelectric plants spread across the US, will own 27% of the 183MW project.
GE Energy Financial Services recently made what was described as a majority equity investment in the project. Other owners include developer Exergy Development Group and manager/operator Reunion Power.
Construction of the project, which consists of 11 wind farms, is expected to be completed by the end of the year, in time to qualify for the US Treasury 30% cash grant in lieu of tax credit.
