The UK plans to offer seabed leasing for commercial-scale floating wind in the Celtic Sea off southwest England and Wales, in another big step forward for the fast-growing technology.
Seabed landlord The Crown Estate is looking to spur individual projects of around 300MW through the leasing process in response to what it described as “strong interest” from a “capable and motivated pool of potential market participants”.
