The long-awaited go-ahead for the US’ flagship offshore wind farm, the 800MW Vineyard Wind 1 project off Massachusetts, has loomed into view with the Department of the Interior on Monday announcing that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has completed the environmental analysis of the giant project.

Later this week, BOEM will publish a notice of availability for the massive 2,422-page final environmental impact statement (FEIS) in the Federal Register, outlining the potential environmental impacts of Vineyard Wind’s construction and operation plan.
