Danish developer Orsted is disputing claims by New Jersey senate president Steve Sweeney and two fellow lawmakers that it may have “misrepresented” the economic development benefits the giant Ocean Wind offshore wind power project could deliver to the state.

They want the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to “immediately suspend” approval of the 1.1GW mega-project and consider whether to replace Orsted, which has been the pacesetter in the emerging US industry with more than 29GW in state procurement commitments along the east coast.
