The French government plans further moves to simplify its offshore wind tendering and permitting process, said Laurent Michel, director general for energy and climate change at the nation's ecological transition ministry.

“Some new improvements regarding the call for tenders and permitting processes will probably be introduced for a simplification law this autumn, which will be debated in parliament at the end of this month,” Michel told a panel on policy at the FOWT 2020 floating wind conference in Marseille.
