Vestas scores again with 4.2MW model for huge turbine order in Brazil

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won an order to supply 409MW worth of its V150-4.2MW turbines for two phases of a huge project in Brazil’s windy Northeast.

The OEM will supply and commission the machines for the Ventos do Piauí II and Ventos do Piauí III sub-projects at Serra do Inácio in Piauí state for a joint venture between Brazil’s Votorantim Energia and the Canadian fund CPP Investments.
