Transitioning oil & gas contractor Saipem has teamed up with a pair of Italian renewable energy developers to advance an ambitious 'green energy hub' project in the Adriatic Sea that is scoped to encompass offshore wind, floating solar and hydrogen production technologies.
Saipem signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Agnes Wind Power and Qint’X over co-development of the proposed Agnes project, with a specific plan to install turbines on fixed foundations in the Adriatic off Ravenna.
