Embattled wind turbine manufacturer Enercon plans to restructure its production network in Germany by bundling manufacturing at two core sites that integrate production previously treated as external, and at the same time stop working with other third-party production partners and suppliers.

As part of a new focus on international markets, Germany’s leading turbine vendor said it intends to create 'centres of excellence' for nacelle and generator construction at company headquarters in Aurich and in Magdeburg in Eastern Germany.
