Poland’s deputy prime minister Jadwiga Emilewicz staged a dramatic stunt to show the about-turn of her government’s attitude to onshore wind, in a move hailed by the nation's industry as symbolic of better times to come.

The politician from the right-wing populist Law and Justice Party, which previously was notoriously skeptical about the sector, visited the construction sites of two wind farms and was rappelled from the nacelle of a turbine by the team from developer Wpd Polska as part of an emergency evacuation demonstration.
