The Greek government has Olympian ambitions for wind power in the coming decades. To start, the country plans to almost double its fleet from 3.6GW today to 7GW by 2030, building on current installed plant that covered almost 15% of electricity demand in the first half of the year and moved the nation closer to meeting the ten-year energy and climate plan targets it submitted to the European Commission (EC).
