The renewable arm of Germany’s BayWa Group has joined a consortium set up by French floating wind outfit Ideol and Belgian developer Elicio earlier this year to bid for acreage in the recently announced ScotWind tender.
BayWa re, which has 3GW of clean-energy projects in operation worldwide including a clutch of Scottish onshore wind farms, and a further 8.3GW in its development portfolio, said the tie-up builds on its “clear commitment” to the wider regional play.
