Scotland’s flagship commercial floating wind projects could be set turning at as low as £60/MWh ($66/MWh) given the “attractive sites” being auctioned in the country’s upcoming leasing round, and the benefits that will come from “upscaling and technology maturation” on the large-scale arrays ahead, according to new research from Aegir Insights.

Aegir modelled the cost out potential for an early commercial scale project based on the spar technologies used on Hywind
