German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon has sold an up to 85% majority stake in part of Europe’s largest wind power complex – the up to 4GW Markbygden project in northern Sweden – to Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners (CSEIP).

The Swiss investor will acquire the majority stake in the 257.7MW ‘northern part’ of the Markbygden II project near Piteå, in the northern Swedish province of Norrbotten, where Enercon is currently installing 63 of its E-138 EP3 turbines.
