Germany and the Netherlands will examine the possibility of Germany and the coastal state of Lower Saxony investing and taking a stake in Dutch state-owned transmission system operator TenneT, the two countries said in a joint statement of intent.
“It is assumed that TenneT's planned investments in the German-Dutch transmission network will require substantial additional funds by 2029,” the statement reads.
