The UK government has moved to reassure the renewables industry that it won’t postpone next month’s consultation deadline on possible changes to its Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme — or delay timing of next year’s Round 4 auction — despite the difficulties thrown up by the coronavirus pandemic.

In a CfD stakeholders bulletin seen by Recharge, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) said the consultation with the industry on the scheme is scheduled to run for twelve weeks up to 22 May.
