Once again, it was onshore wind that made all the headlines when the 2021 round of Contracts for Difference (CfDs) was announced by the UK Department of Energy, Industry & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) last week. Welcomed back into the fold after the controversial exclusion of so called Pot 1 technologies since 2015, supporters hailed the u-turn as the ultimate comeback for a stalled sector.
