Facebook led all companies with US operations in 2019 with procurement of 1.54GW of renewable energy capacity, as the corporate and industrial (C&I) sector set a 9.33GW calendar year record comprising 79 deals, according to the latest Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance (REBA) figures.
The prior record was 6.39GW involving 75 deals in 2018, more than double 2.76GW and 31 transactions in 2017.
