Taiwan’s Swancor has extended the deadline for selling its offshore wind development unit and project interests, citing the emergence of potential new buyers.

The chemicals group said ten days ago that it aimed to finalise a deal “by the end of June” with a “European or [North] American energy company”, as Recharge previously reported.

But the process will be delayed to “protect and maximise the interest of the largest shareholder and the employees”, Swancor said in a statement.
