German economics and energy minister Peter Altmaier showed openness to meet industry demands to raise the country’s offshore wind targets, and to start discussions to introduce a CO2 levy.
“We are verifying the question how much offshore wind we can add, but that has to do with grid links,” Altmaier said at a panel during the annual congress of the federation of water and energy industries (BDEW) in Berlin.
