Global wind heavyweights including Iberdrola, Engie, Equinor and Enel have met Brazilian officials to discuss potential for offshore wind development that latest government research reckons is at least 300GW.

The figure is among several eye-catching forecasts from Flávio Rosa, energy research analyst at Brazil’s energy planning authority (EPE) and one of a team of experts drawing up the country’s first offshore wind roadmap.
