China’s Shandong province plans a combined offshore wind and fish farm as part of a push to unite renewables and aquaculture that would be the first in the country.
The northern province – a major seafood producer that also has ambitions to build 13GW of offshore wind – aims to deploy the aquaculture demonstrator as part of a 1.5GW project in China’s Yellow Sea and Bo Sea waters.
