New wind installations remained at a low level of 230MW in 2018 as Austria gears up to switch its renewables support to a market-based system, the country’s wind federation IG Windkraft said.
Wind additions are slightly up from 2017, when they only reached 196MW, but remain way lower than in 2014 when a record 408MW of new onshore wind capacity was installed in the Alpine nation.
