Alberta will tender 700MW capacity in its next two competitive renewables tenders and hopes to announce winning bids in December, the government of Premier Rachel Notley announced.
Rounds 2 and 3, which will run in parallel, will build upon last December’s initial tender which saw nearly 600MW awarded at the lowest price contracts ever signed for renewable power in Canada.
