Few in the international energy industry were talking seriously about the commercialisation of floating wind power in 2019 – fewer still about a small array envisioned off Wales, called Erebus, that had been launched by Irish developer Simply Blue and quickly acquired a partner in French oil giant Total Energies, wading into the sector for the first time with the project.
