Campaigners protesting at Iberdrola’s plans for a £6.5bn ($8.8bn) offshore wind hub off eastern England confirmed they have lodged a court challenge to British government consent for a large chunk of the project.

Suffolk Energy Action Solutions (SEAS) lodged an application for judicial review of UK energy secretary Kwasi Kwarteng’s green light at the end of March for the up-to 800MW East Anglia 1 North and 900MW East Anglia 2 projects.
