The world-wide wind power project pipeline has risen to 423GW in the last quarter of this year from 320GW in the second quarter - with plans for offshore wind projects for the first time outshining those of onshore wind - Fitch Solutions said.
Wind projects at sea make up 55% of the known project pipeline against 45% for wind on land, the analysts said in a research note, pointing to its key projects database (KPD) that tracks wind developments.
