German utility RWE won a lottery to pick a winning bid to build Denmark’s 1GW Thor offshore wind farm after what Danish officials claimed was a landmark tender for the sector.
The German utility entered the lottery with other bidders after more than one offered to construct the project at the full 1GW scale and at the token bidding price of DKr0.10/MWh
