Vestas struck a wide-ranging deal with Maersk – the world’s largest containerised shipping group – in a move the wind OEM claimed will help ease the transport logistics crunch currently heaping pressure on its operational and financial performance.

The turbine giant and Maersk entered a long-term strategic partnership including all transport from suppliers to factories and service warehouses, containerised site parts, and all airfreight shipments, effective from 1 January.
