As China gears up for massive wind power deployment for the rest of the decade, local giant Goldwind unveiled new turbines that reflect a decisive shift to larger machines on land and a 12MW offshore model.

Goldwind – which was the world’s second-largest supplier of turbines in 2020 according to analyst BloombergNEF – said its GWH 171 and GWH 191 series of medium-speed permanent magnet turbines will be geared up for the energy storage and digitalisation options it claims will be top priorities of future wind farm operators.
