Global OEM giant Vestas said it will offer fully recyclable blades by 2030, speeding up its previous goal as it unveiled a raft of new targets and commitments under its push for ‘fully circular wind turbines’ that reuse materials which have already had an outing in the industry.

The pledge for 100% recyclable blades upgrades a previous target to hit 55% recyclability by the end of the decade for the giant components, which have emerged as the toughest challenge for the wind industry as it looks to burnish its own green credentials and often end their days in landfill.
