The Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) denied a motion filed by offshore wind developer Orsted against two out of three of rival US Wind’s bids in the state’s second round auction.

Orsted, filing as Skipjack, the name of its project bids, alleged in its testimony before the PSC last week that US Wind’s bids 2 and 3 violated auction rules by having partial commercial operation dates beyond the set 2026 deadline as well as OREC schedules that exceeded the 20-year maximum.
