RWE Renewables and EDF Offshore won this year’s 1GW German offshore wind tenders for zones in the North and Baltic Seas with zero-subsidy bids after a process partly decided by lottery – and which may yet see them have to hand over much of their winnings to Northland Power and Iberdrola for legal reasons.
