Global renewables giant Iberdrola added Taiwan to its fast-growing array of offshore wind markets as it unveiled ambitions to develop projects with a potential to host up to 6GW off the Asian island.

Spain-based Iberdrola said the three new projects will compete in Taiwan’s future large-scale procurement auctions for offshore wind power, which the government there hopes will see it add a further 15GW of capacity in the decade from 2026, adding to the 5.5GW
