A partnership including Finnish utility Fortum has taken 1GW as the biggest winner in a landmark wind power tender held by Russia that saw a total of 1.65GW in capacity auctioned off for delivery in the 2018-2022 period.

JSC VetroOGK, a unit of Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, won the rights to build another 360MW in capacity, while Italian utility Enel was successful with 291MW.
