Vestas is laying plans for a factory in Japan after being selected under a subsidy programme run by its government.
The global wind giant said it aims to build a nacelle assembly facility after its successful application for funds under the 210bn yen ($1.9bn) supply chain investment scheme, which covers key components and materials in sectors including renewable energy, run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
