A South Korean steel group will build what is billed as the world’s largest offshore wind monopile foundation plant in northeast England after the UK government confirmed grant support for the £117m ($161m) facility.

SeAH Steel Holdings will site the plant at the Able Marine Energy Park on the Humber, providing locally-made foundations for the next wave of giant offshore wind projects in UK waters, as well as for export.
