Vietnam could have almost 25GW of offshore wind supplying 12% of its national power needs by 2035, according to a study for the World Bank Group looking at the prospects for wind at sea in the Southeast Asian nation.

The deployment of 17.5GW of fixed-bottom turbines, 2.9GW of floating wind and 4.1GW is the high scenario of the first Offshore Wind Roadmap for Vietnam drawn up for the global finance group by BVG Associates.
