Bard said a new entity called Offshore Wind Solutions (OWS) is due to take over O&M at the German North Sea wind farm, as well as Bard’s premises, ships and 300 employees at its Emden site.
OWS will be led by a team of former Bard managers, confirmed a spokesman.
For the 250 employees not included in the transfer to OWS, the future is less bright – they face redundancy ahead of the operational shutdown of the Bard Group companies by the middle of 2014 "as a result of the lack of follow-up orders".
