The decision came from Thailand-based developer Impact Electrons Siam (IES) which aims to see the Monsoon Wind Power Project completed in 2020.
With an estimated cost of $1.5bn, the project will be the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region’s largest wind farm, and the first wind development in Laos.
