India to hold auction for 750MW solar PV in Maharasthra and Gujarat

For auction will put up 500MW of solar projects in Maharasthra and 250MW in Gujarat, SECI says, as part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, Phase-II, batch-III.

SECI announced that a request for selection document for the auction will be published imminently.

India has a target of 100GW of solar by 2022. However, according to a report this month by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis and Indian energy analysis firm Equatorials, the country will fall 25GW of its goal.
