NextEra Energy in the third quarter set a US industry record with 3.25GW of new renewables and grid-scale battery storage origination, a sign of strong demand fueled by federal subsidies and the sector increasingly moving towards the largest scale players, company executives claimed.
This was the first time NextEra’s Energy Resources unit, the largest solar, storage, and wind developer outside China, had surpassed 3GW of quarterly origination.
