Booming wind and solar additions projected over the next 10 years still won’t be enough to keep the US on track to hit President Joe Biden’s ambition for a zero-emissions power system by 2035, warned analysts at BloombergNEF.

Offshore wind is set to be “the big winner of the Biden presidency” while solar is on course for record 20GW-plus annual installations for the next five years, says the research group in its latest US Renewable Energy Market Outlook.
