Work to build what is claimed to be the UK’s largest battery system is underway using lithium-ion and artificial intelligence (AI) technology from US energy storage pioneer Tesla.
The 99MW/198MWh Clay Tye project in Essex, southern England, being built by Spain-based Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) and local developer Harmony Energy, is said to be Britain’s largest in terms of storage capacity.
